I sincerely believe that God is the creator and controller of our time and space. He "spoke" creation into existence, so how easy it is for Him to control ALL circumstances of our portion of His existence! These "controlling instances" we often call "Answered Prayer;" especially when they come after one of our requests for help, to Him, concerning some needful aspect of our lives.
As a young Government employee, and a relatively "new believer"; I often had to travel away from my home. As I was driving to the Airport Parking Area - a huge plot of ground containing thousands of cars - to park my car, then pile into the shuttle bus which would take me to my gate; my "Check Engine Light" had come on, threatening to cause me extreme anxiety, as I had no time, before my flight, with which to get help from someone knowing more than I did about the mechanics of an automobile (which was just about anybody!) Taking solace in the Bible verse which says "Be anxious about nothing" (Philippians 4:6 & 7), I asked God for help, did my best to appropriate His Peace, which verse 7 says He will give, and dutifully got on the Parking Lot shuttle bus and allowed myself to be whisked off toward my departing airplane.
Three days later, I flew home, stepped off the shuttle bus, at my parked car, opened my driver's side door and popped the front hood of my car; wondering what I, Mr. "anything-but-mechanical" would do now! Looking under the front of my opened hood, I only caught a glimpse of another shuttle bus unloading other returning fliers, about two rows ahead of the direction I was facing. One of the returning folks walked two rows, straight ahead, so that he passed right alongside my car, where I was standing........."Hi Dave, Rudy, the best mechanical mind in my Government office said; I just came back a day early from my trip.....are you in trouble....can I help?"
Have a great weekend!

What It Means to Be a Christian
Hi again, folks!
To me, being a Christian means more than simply admiring the historical Jesus; or even more than believing that He is who the Bible says He is.......God the Son, who resides with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. Being a Christian is more than trying to live the way Jesus said to live. Now please don't misunderstand me. All of these are good things and should be resident in the life of a Christian; but "being" a Christian involves a "decision" and a "request", by you, to God. It involves your intent - your Will - expressed to God, simply letting Him know that yes, you do believe that His Son, Jesus, died for your sins; and that you want Him in your life right now, guiding you from this moment on! It's that simple, my friend! In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, He will come into your innermost being, changing you forever! You will be His and He will be yours!
It can happen right now, if you tell Him that you believe, and ask Him to come into your life and lead you. If you do that, you will be a Christian before you can even Log-off of your computer! You'll have the Living God within you!
About 30 years ago, I prayed my choice of words, expressing my intent and my request. As I remember it, they were, "Dear God, I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for my sins; and I ask Him to come into my heart right now, as my Lord and Saviour." In that very moment, He did, changing my life forever!
The decision is yours, the absolute moment that you decide to make it!

Who I am and why I'm starting this site
Hi, Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, as well as you who are simply interested in just what it means to be a Christian!
My name is Dave and about 30 years ago, in a time of turmoil, I read "Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28).........I did, and then He did too, just as He (Jesus) said that He would!
My intent is to inform you and to encourage you; so please come here often, and feel free to let me know how I can help you! Please contact me at mychristiancorner@gmail.com with any Prayer Requests or comments. I am truly "at your service!"
